The story behind the character

您

您 is 你 with 心 (heart) tucked under it. There is no ancient form to explain, because 您 is recent, a few centuries old at most, usually described as a contraction of 你们 that got polished into an honorific. Somebody slid a heart under the pronoun on purpose. It is the only pronoun in Chinese carrying a heart, and 您好 is what you say to a teacher or a stranger.
