We have a cat at home. Her name is Xiaohua.
xiǎo小huā花shì是bái白de的，yǎn眼jīng睛shì是hēi黑de的，fēi非cháng常piào漂liàng亮。
Xiaohua is white with black eyes — really pretty.
tā它zuì最ài爱chī吃yú鱼，yě也ài爱hē喝niú牛nǎi奶。
Her favourite thing is fish, and she loves milk too.
měi每gè个zǎo早shàng上tā它dōu都jiào叫wǒ我qǐ起chuáng床。
Every single morning she wakes me up.
yǒu有yī一cì次xiǎo小huā花shēng生bìng病le了，bù不chī吃dōng东xi西，yě也bù不wán玩。
Once Xiaohua got sick — she wouldn't eat, wouldn't play.
wǒ我hé和mèi妹mei妹sòng送tā它qù去yī医yuàn院。
My little sister and I took her to the vet.
yī医yuàn院lǐ里de的yī医shēng生shì是yí一gè个nǚ女de的，tā她fēi非cháng常hǎo好。
The doctor there was a woman, and she was lovely.

She gave Xiaohua some medicine and told us to let her rest at home.

While Xiaohua was ill, I stayed right beside her.
xiàn现zài在xiǎo小huā花yǐ已jīng经hǎo好le了，fēi非cháng常ài爱wán玩。
Xiaohua is better now and very playful.

On Saturday afternoon Xiaohua and I play together.

She likes padding up and down the room.

Once she got up on the table — I thought it was hilarious.

At night she likes to sleep right next to me.

She doesn't like water, so she never swims.
wǒ我de的nǚ女ér儿hé和ér儿zi子dōu都xǐ喜huan欢tā它。
Both my daughter and my son adore her.

My wife likes her too.

My friend wants a cat of his own now.

We all love Xiaohua — she's a good friend of the family.
