On Saturday afternoon I went to meet Li Yue — we were going to have coffee together.
nà那ge个shāng商diàn店lí离xué学xiào校hěn很jìn近，wǒ我zǒu走lù路qù去。
The shop is close to the school, so I walked there.
wǒ我dào到de的shí时hou候，lǐ李yuè月hái还méi没yǒu有lái来。
When I got there, Li Yue hadn't arrived yet.
shāng商diàn店lǐ里de的rén人bù不duō多，wǒ我zhǎo找le了yí一gè个hǎo好de的yǐ椅zi子。
The shop wasn't busy, so I found a good chair.
wǒ我děng等le了shí十fēn分zhōng钟，gěi给tā她dǎ打diàn电huà话le了。
I waited ten minutes and gave her a call.
tā她de的shǒu手jī机bù不zài在tā她páng旁biān边。
Her phone wasn't with her.
wǒ我jiù就zài在shāng商diàn店lǐ里kàn看bào报zhǐ纸，zài再děng等tā她。
So I read the newspaper in the shop and waited some more.
tā她lái来de的shí时hou候yǐ已jīng经shì是sān三diǎn点le了。
It was already three o'clock when she finally showed up.
tā她jué觉de得fēi非cháng常duì对bu不qǐ起，wǒ我xiào笑le了yī一xià下，gào告sù诉tā她méi没guān关xi系。
She felt awful about it; I laughed and told her it was no big deal.
dàn但shì是wǒ我de的kā咖fēi啡yǐ已jīng经lěng冷le了。
But my coffee had already gone cold.
nà那ge个shāng商diàn店de的kā咖fēi啡hěn很pián便yi宜，wǒ我fēi非cháng常xǐ喜huan欢。
The coffee there is cheap and I really like it.
wǒ我men们hē喝kā咖fēi啡，yì一qǐ起shuō说huà话，fēi非cháng常gāo高xìng兴。
We drank our coffee and chatted away — it was lovely.
tā她gào告sù诉wǒ我，tā她xià下gè个yuè月yào要qù去zhōng中guó国lǚ旅yóu游。
She told me she's going to China next month.
wǒ我xī希wàng望tā她wán玩dé得kuài快lè乐。
I hope she has a great time.
huí回jiā家de的shí时hou候xià下yǔ雨le了，dàn但shì是wǒ我jué觉de得jīn今tiān天zhēn真hǎo好。
It rained on the way home, but I thought it was a great day.
