The story behind the character
会
会 does two jobs. First, a learned skill: 我会说汉语 I can speak Chinese, 他会开车 he can drive. Second, a future you expect: 明天会下雨 it will rain tomorrow, 他会来的 he will come. For physical ability use 能, and for permission use 可以. If it is something you learned, 会 is the one. So 我不会游泳 means "I can't swim," because you never learned.
